Coilover Kits

Coilover Kits are one of our most popular selling items and we have a great range of Aftermarket and Genuine Mazda options to suit all needs and budgets.

This guide shares with you links to some of our best selling kits and products we highly recommend.

Gaz Classic Coilover kit - Best Seller

Like the fixed height version, these Coilovers have 40 different comfort settings making this kit suitable for everyday use right through to full-on track days. The added bonus with the Classics, is full adjustment of the spring seat which gives up to a 35mm drop in ride height from the standard. This equates to 335mm on the rear, and 325mm on the front, measured from the centre of the wheel to the bottom edge of the wheel arch (Mk1 & 2 models). Supplied with standard springs that are rated at 350lb on the front and 250lb on the rear.

The extra adjustment these Coilovers offer, gives you the ability to set your vehicle up to exactly the specification you want, dependant on the type of driving you are doing.

These kits are available for Mk1, Mk2 & Mk3 - click your Mk to find out more:

Mk1 (SI265)
Mk2 (SI266)

Springs

Standard Replacements

We have a great range of Genuine Mazda standard springs for Mk2, Mk3 & Mk4 in stock as well as our own springs for Mk1's which are made in the UK and are exclusive to MX5parts. These are great value and better than the originals as they don't break the way the originals did, but then we might just be a touch biased.

Lowering Springs

The basic principle of lowering springs is to a) lower the car which lowers the centre of gravity creating less resistance on the chassis when turning (resulting in quicker steering response and a better feel of the road), and b) they make the car look more sporty which gets rid of the 4x4 look that certainly Mk3's and Mk4's have as standard.

The only trade-off to this is the fact they make the suspension firmer so the car is less forgiving on bumpy roads, and it will have the potential to ground out on speedbumps etc, so just be careful how fast you hit that 'sleeping policeman'!

MX5parts Mk1 Exclusive

We have our own MX5parts exclusive for the Mk1's also made in the UK like our standard ones. They lower the car by about 15mm front and 20mm rear and are about 15% firmer than the originals making them fine for everyday driving. Click here to find out more

Eibach Lowering Kits - All Models

With Eibach, you have the ability to lower the car by different amounts depending on the kit. For all your Eibach options click here

H&R Lower Kit, Mk4

This lowers your Mk4 by about 30mm front and rear, these are the ones that we have fitted to our own Mk4 as we aren't big fans of the 4X4 look where there is a massive gap under the wheel arches, but this is, of course, personal preference. Check out here for more info
